The Well on Whidbey (or Church done Simply)

We have been called to be different, to shine our Light in a world that is tired of the status quo... We are not to be conformed to world, instead we are to be conformed to the likeness of Christ so that the world can be reached. We are called to bring life not condemnation in John 4:14 Jesus says "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Being prepared for anything…..

So last Friday Gert shows up to church and says “oh I forgot to tell you there is a new guy coming tonight, and he’s bringing his 6 children…. I hope that’s ok?”. So out of my mouth comes oh sure that’s great, but my mind says “uh oh, gonna have to make a few quick plan changes”… Them I find out that half of the kids are adopted fr Haiti and the real dad of 2 of them is a voodoo priest and does human sacrafices…. That info is quickly followed by a few text messages to get some extra prayer coverage… The result? A very nice evening discussing Abba’s deep love for us and the gospel of Jesus, and the kids were very well behaved and actually had some good questions and input. God is so faithful and good!
