The Well on Whidbey (or Church done Simply)

We have been called to be different, to shine our Light in a world that is tired of the status quo... We are not to be conformed to world, instead we are to be conformed to the likeness of Christ so that the world can be reached. We are called to bring life not condemnation in John 4:14 Jesus says "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
This is what we are about

Happy Resurrection Day

First I want to thank everyone that came out to the Good Friday gathering that we had, the fellowship was awesome.  It was also great for everyone to meet and get to know Kaweesa, a brother from Uganda.

So as we celebrate today, go to the church services and gather with family and friends, break bread and have egg hunts, we need to remember that we are celebrating the life of Jesus and the life that He provided for us.  The work that He did through His death, resurrection and ascension were all the result of the deep love that The Father has for us. Yes when we make the decision to recieve Him as our Saviour, when we repent and become a part of His Kingdom, when our sins are forgiven and we become delivered and healed, it is a result of His love.

Abba misses His children, His desire from the beginning of creation was to have a relationship with His kids.  He wanted to walk in the garden with them, spend time with them, love on them.  But He gave us free-will, the ability to choose, and in that the first Adam allowed sin to enter the world. Our Father in heaven loves us all and does not force Himself upon us He sends His Holy Spirit to speak to us, to call us, to woo us.

The work that Jesus did on the cross was so that we could get that relationship back, so we could have the relationship with Abba that He originally intended.  That is why when we repent and accept Jesus’ work for us that we become new creations, that the old man dies and and the new man comes to life in Christ. I think as a whole we do not truly comprehend the deep love the Father has for us.  I look at my beautiful wife and daughters and my precious little grandson and the feeling of love that wells up in my heart and I get a glimpse of the love the Father has for me and it is overwhelming.

John 3:11 “Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you do not accept our testimony. 12 “If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things ? 13 No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven : the Son of Man. 14 “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. 16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged ; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 “But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

We hope you all have a wonderfully blessed day!!!
